Indeed he is. We get to see him step up a little later on in the show though, based on what I’ve read about him!

QuestionExcuse me, Sensei, I was wondering if you could tell me a little about Seijun's mouse? I've looked it up in the books and only discovered that she was the owner of the anteater-like thing. Also, is it just me or does Ginji Ohiroshiki's mouse look like Tewi from Touhou? Answer

I didn’t get to reading volume 2 at all, so here is the @Wiki article on Tsukinowa, Seijun’s Masazumi’s mouse:

An anteater child contracted to Honda Masazumi.
At first, Masazumi, who still missed her mom, and Tsukinowa weren’t very close. However, Tsukinowa suffered an injury during the Duel between Masazumi and Christopher Hatton, and had to undergo treatment. Their relationship began to develop after this. He was able to return to Masazumi through an Ether Vein, although the possibility of this completing was very low.

After leaving England, Masazumi takes a deep liking to him, and rubs him against her cheeks every time she summons him.
Additionally, about the name being more fitting for a bear: after healing the hair that sprouted back where he was injured was white like a crescent moon*.

* - Tsukinowa can refer to the white, crescent-shaped patch of an Asiatic black bear.

I apologize if I screwed up somewhere; the writing on the @wiki was pretty ambiguous so I couldn’t tell who had the injury, and who did the treatment.

And yeah, now that you mention it, his mouse does! Couldn’t find any info about the mouse though. Guess she/it hasn’t showed up in the novel yet.

QuestionIn the character profiles the text for P01-S read: "Her emotions were used by her father to create the Armaments of Deadly Sins, while the emotion of Envy, as Ólos Fotonos." Is there a line missing there or something? Answer

Whoopsie, yeah I screwed up there! It’s supposed to be:

Her emotions were used by her father to create the Armaments of Deadly Sins, while the emotion of Envy was planted in her, as Ólos Fotonos.

It’s fixed now though, don’t worry.

Ahh, adding like 24 people is such a pain! But there! Finally sorted out!

I’ve been neglecting questions too, thanks to a bunch of other personal projects plus the return of school, but rest assured, I’ll get to them!

The Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon manga is now being translated by HimaHimaSeijin Scans! And stuff. Which is technically still me, but under the scanlations section of my personal projects.

You can grab the first chapter here: http://planethima.wordpress.com/2012/05/27/release-kyoukai-senjou-no-horizon-ch01/

QuestionSensei! herald_of_meridian here. You know, that guy who's also working on info for Kyoukai-sen. I kinda need your help on filling up the details — I'm still working on it alone long after S1 has finished — and S2 is coming our way. If you're available, just give me a heads-up. (Good job on the glossaries, by the way. It was a big help.) Answer

Ah right, the Horizon Wikia!

Could you leave your e-mail address as a comment/question (I’ll delete it after; don’t worry) and we can take things from there? A bit convoluted I know, but I can’t really think of an easier way for opening up a communication (divine transmission?) line.

QuestionSensei! I saw these Chinese scans of a Horizon manga, and this other 4-koma too. What is the difference between those, the anime, and the novel? Answer

In terms of depth into the story:

Novel > Manga > Anime

In terms of ease to digest:

Manga ~= Anime > Novel

For a casual consumption, it is a nice supplement to the anime, and provides some neat insights into the series without going as terribly deep as the novels. For those more hardcore fans, it’s a more visual way of seeing even more of the Musashi’s citizens’ antics, apart from what the anime has to offer.

Depending on how things work out, I may (i.e. probably will) release scanlations of the Horizon manga and maybe of the 4koma as well, under the HimaHimaSeijin Scans label.

QuestionHow large is the population of the countries in Horizon? With the whole 'going to heaven, coming back, creating alternative dimension living space, having that space destroyed' how many people are actually left? And more specifically do we have any idea how many people live on Musashi, aka how many civilians is Toori dragging along for his battles? Answer

How large, I can’t remember any exact figures being given for the other countries.

More specifically for the Musashi however, I do believe there are approximately 100,000 citizens onboard at any given time. It sounds strange, with what we currently see, but don’t forget that there are several more levels of residential, commercial, and industrial areas underneath the deck.

You may remember from the first episode of the anime that it was mentioned that I was kicked out my old place and sent deeper in the ship! That jerkoff yakuza.
